Canberra Show & Pupcake Bakery

Today we went along to the Royal Canberra Show at Exhibition Park in Canberra. We always love the show, it’s a great day out with the family and there really is something for everyone!

While we were wandering around we found the Farmyard Nursery, which is a usual favourite of mine; who doesn’t love baby animals? Most people have photo shoots done of their pet dog or cat so we thought this was a great opportunity to practise taking some shots of pets that we wouldn’t usually get to photograph. We got to see some beautiful animals such as tiny ducklings, goats, donkeys and my favourite – the gorgeous little baby Alpaca’s or Cria’s (as the sign told me)!

In our wanderings we also came across a stall for ‘Pupcake Bakery’ and we just couldn’t go home without bringing a treat or two for Griffin and Ripley. With so many amazing things to choose from we had a good chat with the lovely lady running the stall who recommended cow hooves filled with Kangaroo. She said they were great for dogs that get through treats quickly as they will last longer and keep them entertained for ages. We have, of course, heard this before and the standard treat has been gone in 5 minutes tops…

…but we thought, ‘why not?’ and, oh boy, were we proved wrong! Not only did our dogs LOVE these treats, they lasted for hours! We would definitely recommend Pupcake Bakery and we will definitely be back for more goodies.
